Weather Updates

Saturday 12th April 2014

Storyland will be OPEN today to the public from 10am to 6pm. The site is accessible for general public, but we would encourage due to the rain fall over the previous days that the site won’t be accessible for people with wheelchairs or walkers for another few days.

Any further questions please call  (03) 5986-6684 or email

Friday 11th April 2014

Today will be the last day that StoryLand will be closed due to weather.

Storyland will REOPEN to the public on SATURDAY 12th APRIL 2014 at 10am and run as per usual; with all of our weekend activities, as well as the sculptures still  looking amazing!!

Wednesday 9th April 2014

Due to the consistent rain here in Melbourne, our pathways have become very dangerous to walk on at Storyland, Frankston Waterfront.

We now have to for OH&S reasons close the site to the general public for the rest of today (Wednesday 9th April) and for tomorrow (Thursday 10th April).
We also are now tarping the sand sculptures to protect them from the heavy rain predicted within the next 24 hours.

We will assess the condition of the site tomorrow evening to whether we will open to the public on Friday 11th April and of course keep you updated in the mean time.

Of course however we will be opening to the public again for Saturday 12th April onwards until the end of the event (27 April 2014). Sand Sculpting Australia can’t wait to be apart of your Sandsational school holidays fun, and we can’t wait to bring you our fabulous Easter celebrations!

We are very sorry, and hope you can understand that the safety of the public and protecting the sculptures is priority.

If you would like updated information please call (03) 5986-6684 between 9:30am-4pm Monday to Thursday, and 9:30am-6pm Friday-Sunday.

Otherwise keep up to date 24/7 by following us on Facebook
